Have you ever taken some leftovers out of your fridge and combined them into something different, to avoid eating the same thing three days in a row? Often, it works out, but sometimes you discover that certain things shouldn’t be combined.

There are several things at play here:

  • Conspiracy theorists have been batting a thousand over the past five years, and if Jeffrey Epstein killed himself, we’ve just broken our perfect record.
  • Most people have no real point of reference as to how the FBI is actually supposed to operate.
  • Most people have never been dropped into any business or organization to be immediately in charge of a disaster, so they are clueless on that front.
  • Most people are accustomed to instant gratification.
  • We have all spent our entire lives being lied to by the establishment, so our level of trust is in the dirt.

These psychological ingredients don’t mix well in our minds, and we’re sick of LEFTovers.

As soon as Dan Bongino said Epstein did kill himself, I witnessed many on social media making claims that “they’ve gotten to Bongino” and other nonsensical statements along those lines.

I worked in federal law enforcement in Washington, DC, at one point, and I’ll elaborate on that shortly, but it’s another life experience that allows me to view this through a different prism. I spent several years of my life turning around failing businesses. It was always the same root cause of failure: personnel. The first time I walked into a business and was in charge of a bunch of people I didn’t know, it was very tough because everyone immediately pretended to be a proper employee in my presence. It took nearly a year to thoroughly investigate and identify the root causes of the problems and determine who was truly responsible. The process of hiring, firing, and training was slow.

This is where Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino are now. Everyone is pretending to be a perfect employee, and uncovering all the liars is a tedious process because the liars will do everything they can to simultaneously undermine the patriots who do exist in the organization.

During my first experience, I still had a business to run. Same thing with Bongino and company; crime hasn’t stopped. It is a full-time job just trying to keep the organization on track, and it is made even more complicated by the fact that many personnel are still secretly undermining it. This is the toughest spot to be in, as it is equivalent to working two full-time jobs simultaneously.

During my time in DC, I gained insight into how the FBI operates. Building a case was very systematic, to the point that it was rare for them not to get a conviction. All i’s were dotted and all t’s were crossed. Everything was done to such a high standard, which requires time, resources, and considerable effort to manage. Given the size and scope of the FBI, I can only imagine how tough it must be, every day, to live up to the standards the FBI stands for and to rebuild the organization at the same time. If any normal person were to undertake this task for four years, it would significantly age them. On a side note, I was happy to hear that Director Patel and Deputy Director Bongino are making time to work out and (hopefully) keep themselves healthy.

The second time I had to turn a business around, I walked into the company two weeks prior and became a client. I spent a lot of time speaking with employees and observing the work environment. When I walked in on my first day of work, I already knew who everyone was and had already formed opinions, both good and bad, about most of them. The fact that they all recognized me was somewhat comical, and even though I intended to fire about half the staff immediately, several of them quit because they already knew there would be no pretending. Instead of taking a year to turn things around, I was able to do so in less than six months.

Director Patel and Deputy Director Bongino don’t have the luxury of going anywhere anonymously and sizing things up. Still, if I could advise them, I would reorganize loyal agents in a way that allows me to create a pipeline of feedback from different offices. I would also hire new administrators to work in a variety of offices, as they could helpfully monitor things (being largely ignored as unimportant is an advantage). It is my understanding they are polygraphing people, but that’s also managing a lot of time and resources.

Try to imagine what they are up against in all of this… and we haven’t yet included the time and effort required to go back and re-investigate cases like Epstein, the J6 Pipe Bomb, the J6 Capitol incident, Crossfire Hurricane, etc.

This is a monumental undertaking, to the point that it would be challenging for any normal person to succeed at any part of it, much less all of it at once.

I don’t know Dan Bongino personally. Never met him. A few years ago, I had some interactions with a very high-ranking individual from the Secret Service, and this person didn’t have anything kind to say about Dan Bongino. I will not repeat what this person said, as I took it with a grain of salt, and this same individual turned out to be a bit less ethical than I like. I have listened to Bongino’s podcasts often since then, and although I wasn’t a huge fan of the show, I listened frequently because the truth trumped everything else on his show. He was never quick to jump to conclusions or attempt to break any news. He was always a “wait and see” all the information kind of guy. I never saw him engaging in clickbait, unlike so many others. He was always a straight-shooter, a tell-it-like-it-is kind of guy.

This man had a lucrative empire that he built on a stellar reputation. He left all that money and fame behind for what? To become some lying bureaucrat? That doesn’t even make sense!

I know that the Communist Left and RINO Right that support them have done nothing but lie, mislead, and cover up for my entire existence. Promises are always broken, never kept. We are all like that battered and abused shelter animal in that way. We are expecting to be punished again and again because that’s all we’ve ever known.

What we have to do now is put our PTSD aside and give Director Patel and Deputy Director Bongino some time. It took decades to create the dysfunction within the FBI, and it will take considerable time to sort it all out so they understand everything that needs to be done, and then even more time to implement the necessary changes.

Patience grasshoppers…
